                      What is Qi Gong?

Qi Gong is a movement and meditation practice which takes its origin in ancient China.  It is affiliated with the the spiritual philosopy of Taoism, which seek to find harmony within the natural order of the Universe.

Its secrets were carried down through family lineages.  Consequently it is highly diverse with thousands of variations. Qi Gong can be tailored to create a specific outcome, it can be used to increase strength, cultivate spiritual awareness and improve health.

Qi Gong consists of breath, movement, mental exercises, visualisation and meditation. The practice of Qi Gong is both gentle and soft; however it is very powerful, re-vitalizing and balancing the body, mind and spirit.

The aim is to build, purify and balance chi. Chi is the bioelectric charge which drives and animates all of the body's functions.  Qi Gong when practiced consistently can heal the body, clear and sharpen the mind and create a sense of belonging and purpose within the natural order of the Universe.
