ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF THE BRAINModality: Applied Physiology
Founder: Richard Utt
Instructor: Jacque Mooney
Dates: September 3 - 7 2009 Cost: $750 Category: B Hours: 40 Diploma
This course covers theory on the anatomy and physiology of the brain and the Kinesiology formatting to access brain structure and function. The course looks at the cortex, and extensively covers the limbic system - the emotional centre of the brain.
Learning about these areas will give skills in working with reward and punishment centres, and the formation and expression of emotions on conscious and subconscious levels. Included are issues such as pain, pleasure, anger, rage, sorrow and short term and long term memory. It also covers the body’s overall function, especially hormonal function, via its input to the hypothalamus and autonomic nervous system. This will allow you to work directly with aspects such as the entire digestive system, blood pressure, motor movement, sexuality and visual and auditory problems.
The LEAP Brain Integration course is based on the formatting points from this course. Anatomy and Physiology of the Brain will give you a general basis upon which to undertake further study in the area of learning problems as well as many other issues relating to our health and brain function. On completion of this course the participant will be able to format many areas of the cortex and limbic system of the brain, utilise the information in the manuals and integrate it with other learned Kinesiology skills.
Prerequisites: 100 hours of Kinesiology and Brain Formatting
Anatomy and Physiology of the Brain assessment: September 8 2009 Cost: $100
