A goal is the process of fixing our attention on an end result to create a desired outcome. Kinesiology offers a huge opportunity for people to actuate their goals, helping them to create more of what they want and collapse that which they no longer desire. By understanding the metaphysics of goal creation and combining this with kinesiology, a huge benefit can be available to our clients.
Our clients invariably arrive with lists of problems. It is easy to fall into the rut of the problem fixer; however this does not support our clients to support themselves. We can help the clients to formulate what it is that they want to create rather than getting lost in the problems. A goal can be seen as a solution to a perceived problem, where in truth there are no problems, only the perception of problems. So a goal is like an invitation for a shift into a solution-based state of mind where we see only opportunities and possibilities.
When we have a problem it reflects a disconnection from the part of us which sees only solutions and opportunities for growth. The underlying nature of this problematic state is that people and situations outside of us appear to be controlling and directing us. In this state of mind we are an effect not a cause. A problem exists because we have given our power to an outside source. By owning the inner right to rule our own life (sovereignty) then we can reconnect with a solution-based state of mind.
Let’s use the term self to signify the state of mind where we see only opportunities and possibilities; while non self refers to the state of mind where we see ourselves being directed by things beyond our control.
In my system of working there are two states, self and non-self. I like this concept because it is simple and helps to avoid the idea that there is something to fix.
The self refers to you essentially and the non self is like the negative space that occurs when the self is not there.
A goal simply offers us an opportunity to shift between states. It is the movement into the self state that enables the opportunity for the goal to manifest.
Kinesiology allows us to examine and then balance the specific stress patterns elicited through bringing online specific symptoms and/or goals in individual clients.
While a client has the perception of a problem, there will be a stress pattern within the context of the problem. This pattern will reflect in the energy states of the individual (i.e. meridian systems, chakras, figure eights etc), as well as in the operation and configuration of the brain’s neural network. A goal is usually based on the desire to move beyond the perception of a problem or current state of perceived lack. Each possible goal will bring forward a unique stress pattern. By creating a new context with a goal we are able to elicit stress patterns in our neurology, meridians, chakras, etc. We can also elicit stories and emotional states from the past which indicate how we gave away the power to create our reality.
By balancing these energy patterns and objectively viewing the relevant stories from the past, we are effectively turning the specific key that opens the door between the non self and the self states.
The mind’s involvement in the process of creation is based on the choosing of an end result. We optimise the outcome by disengaging the mind from the process of journeying to the end result. Over analysis with the mind on the journey toward an end result causes blockage and stagnation (paralysis by analysis). The mechanism of manifestation once an end result has been chosen is both incidental and transformational. It is only our resistances to being open to experiencing the journey to our heart’s desire that will inhibit our heart’s desire coming into manifestation. By letting go and allowing a transformational journey then we will receive an outcome.
From my investigation it seems that the mind and the universe work together to produce end results based on established goals and intentions; and in fact the outcome is guaranteed. However, the journey toward the intended end result is mysterious and unknown. Whenever we choose a goal, we can’t completely predict how it is going to happen. Surrendering to the journey allows an unfolding toward the intended end result. When we are unable to trust in the guaranteed outcomes of the mind and the universe working together, there is a tendency to interfere with the process. If we try to make it happen by interfering or forcing, we block the natural creative mechanism of the universe and inhibit the arrival of the end result. If we could predict both the journey and the outcome then we would be able to extrapolate our whole life and there would be no point to being born. The irony is that we generally behave as though we can’t have guaranteed outcomes, which then encourages us to interfere with the process.
The role of the practitioner is to help the client draw in or release whatever is required to support the natural mechanism of creation.
Choosing an end result based on the manifestation of the heart’s desire engages the self. Avoiding outcomes based on fear or attachments engages the non self. It is important that we are not driven to produce goals based on our aversions. Rather we are inspired by an enriching alternative. The word inspiration is based on a Latin derivative which means the spirit is with in, as opposed to dispirited - with out spirit. Inspired is synonymous with the self. Supporting our clients to envision a more enriching reality for the right reasons makes the kinesiology easy work.
By working with the concept that we create everything means that we have also created the things we don’t like. If we choose to see things in this way then we are at a state of total responsibility, and we have a foundation to now start to create what we like.
….You have created the reality you are in, now create the reality that you want…
This concept is not always digestible for the client and should not be forced on them. We are required to meet the client at the reality in which they are currently operating and help them to expand it incrementally at the rate they are willing or capable to accept.
Kinesiology can gently and quickly dismantle the blocks that obstruct the emergence of the self, restoring our capacity to create what we want.
