PROVIDER NUMBER FOR HEALTH FUND REBATES

Health rebates can be claimed by your clients when you have a provider number with the specific heath fund that your client is insured with. Each health fund has specific criteria regarding eligibility of the practitioner. All health funds require that the practitioner has some kind of membership with an association. Applications for a provider number are made directly to each health fund individually. You can contact your Kinesiology association to identify as to which health funds recognise them. Most health funds require you to have professional indemnity insurance. The ATMS (below) and the AKA (above) are affiliated with an insurer that provides reasonable rates.
